Pale water-colors and robust lines // NUBU spring 2015
The spring 2015 collection of NUBU was inspired by Zsuzsa Moizer’s watercolors. Pale, exuded forms appear on textiles with color gradients. Besides black, off white and optical white, the main colors of the collection are pastels like nude and mint that invoke watercolors, and sand and stone colors.
The artist’s works appear on the pieces of the collection as monochrome graphics. In terms of fabrics, transparent and creased textiles, sheer organza, satin and creased, paper-like leather dominate. Silhouettes and forms strengthen the impression of creasing, with folds and asymmetric, large-scale lines. The texture of fabrics and the paper effect take on the lines of wood grain that characterize the resort collection.
Soft, sheer textiles were turned into flowy, classic pieces, while the numbers made of creased textiles and leather were created with the unique cuts and sporty lines that characterize the brand. The mood of the collection is romantic and melancholic at the same time.
